Tutor Bio:

Jen Goodwin is a world renowned hand embroiderer, artist and teacher. As a graduate of the Royal School of Needlework's Apprenticeship scheme she has constantly been in demand both inside and outside of the RSN for the last twenty three years. Her creative focus centres on combining her exemplary stitch and design skills to create a wealth of contemporary embroidery designs filled with intricate details, using eclectic materials to create colourful, impactful pieces many of which are shared with her eager legions of students. Her skills have been recognised by the industry she loves and she is a proud member of the RSN Fellowship and the Worshipful Company of Broderers. She contuues to teach online and in person and is committed to passsing on these traditional skills wherever she can whether that be to those wishing to lean how to, or those who want to learn to teach others. She has been privileged to work on a number of high profile projects including items for the Coronation of King Charles III in 2023. She is passionate about embroidery being seen as art and many of her pieces have been exhibited over the years
